Reliable Ford in a goofy British costume or finicky and fickle and fussy to work on? Not looking for myself. I don’t just want to know about the engine and tranny, I want to know if a power window switch is gonna brake on me and then cost $500 to replace. !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!

Please call or email as I do not text, except when I’m driving in heavy traffic, drinking my starbucks.
Nice.

I have an manual 04 X-Type, had it for 10 years now and put over 100k miles on it. It’s been pretty reliable sans the t-case grenading which funnily enough happened two weeks after I had the sump gasket replaced by Jag (which required dropping the t-case to reach the last sump bolt... HMMMMMMM).
Otherwise just regular maintenance.

It’s a glorified Ford but it’s based on a FWD platform even for the AWD version, so it’s not particularly engaging or fun to drive. It’s a decent, cheap entry-level luxury car.
